I was managed to bring myself to play it and Live-stream it on Sunday and again on Monday and personally my view point of the game is pretty neutral.

So, recently I picked up the game Fez, a puzzle/platform game created by the independent software developer Polytron Croporation, on steam Saturday night.

That was a nice system I will sadly miss.Ĭategory: #Fez, #Review, #TradeApocalypseGaming, #TradeApocalypseLive Which I find that a huge shame, I actually don't mind the challenge of dying and playing a x amount of energy to revive, I also don't mind the challenge of sacrificing my health for my team mates. This item automatically allows you to revive without any cost of energy or having a friend sacrifice life to you. Luckly the new system places the players to be able to use the elevators freely! They also manage to revamp the death system allowing the players to die and use what is a item called. The energy system really ruined a lot of what should be a fun adventuring game with friends to a loot, pillage and 1 hour session game. Once you have blown your 100 ME or x amount of CE then you are literately unable to play the game unless you purchase more CE or wait for 24 hours to pass (and to honestly you can blow 100 ME pretty fast, in about 3 minutes to 1-hour depending on what you do).

The new patch allowed users to finally and free explore the clockworks, which was unmanageable through the energy system. Now that said, the new patched basically took all that past knowledge and tossed it outside the window and re-developed a very, I would say amazingly better concept. CE was purchasable based on how many the player would sell the CE for Crowns (CR), this price would range about 7,300CR - 8,500CR, very expensive. Anyways, the purchase of crystal energy was needed a lot in the game, for those free-2-play players who didn't have the rights to use daddy's credit card you were luckly given the ability to obtain CE though a Energy Auctioneer house. However a lot of the big features that use to need was removed (which I mentioned before). Crystal Energy is still able to be purchased in game and there are certain locations in the game that will require crystal energy. However, if 100 Mist Energy was not enough (and it wasn't) you were given a choice to purchase energy for real life cash, this energy would be known to players as Crystal Energy. The Mist Energy recharged slowly giving the player about 1 energy for 13 minutes, requiring you to wait a whole day before you were able to adventure back into the clockworks. Every player was given a amount of 100 Mist Energy, from which they are required to use for all the major features I listed about in this section. Simple things like crafting would require a numerous amount of energy depending on the certain scale level of armor and weapons. If you were knocked out in the clockworks you were to use x amount of energy (The energy usage doubles per death, its starts out as low as 5 energy x2 per death). The Energy system was where the whole game revolved around, if you wanted to explore the clockworks you would have to use 10 energy per floor. Now for those new to spiral knights, the game was heavily focused into using a currency known as Mist Energy (ME) or Crystal Energy (CE). This was one of the most big changes that I was literately surprised in, I honestly did not except the removal of mostly all energy usage within the game. Without spoiling the boss moves I will say he does a bang boom job of trying to quickly get rid of you, having you to try and dodge out the way at times. You were also given a nice boss who I will admit would scare me if I were around that level range. The mission ends short and afterwards you are given a final mission which a very interesting 2nd level design as well. It was really a neat concept alright and after finishing that chain of missions the next chain allows you to choose your pet (more of that in the next section). Afterwards you are sent through three different locations from where you become well introduce towards 1 of the three Battle Sprites (per mission) giving you a small introduction to their abilities and skills (at it's level 15 state). Starting really early on (2-2 series) you were given a very nice introduction about battle sprites, coming from a really neat robot scientist with an amazing mask. The new missions without spoiling much is pretty entertaining, if now well design when it came towards introducing the new Battle sprites.
